Voucher Bonus & Cash Back Bonus Options

At Teddy Kids—we'll say it again—we’re flexible! That’s why we offer something truly special: the bonus of your choice. Wow!

Option #1 - Voucher Bonus

You receive a voucher worth a percentage of the total hours of the missed day (100% or 25%, depending on when the day was marked absent).

If you mark you child absent 24 hours before 7:00 of the day, you will receive a voucher worth 100% of the hours of that missed day.

This voucher can be applied when booking an extra day and is valid for 30 days after the missed day.

NEW in 2020!
It's your wish come true! Parents wanted to use vouchers for days earlier in that same week. You got it! Vouchers can now be used for days in that same week as the missed day, so long as they are outside your normal contract days. Hooray!


Option #2 - Cash Back Bonus

Yet another wish fulfilled! You can receive cash back, worth a percentage of the total cost of the missed day, if the day was marked absent at least 30 days in advance.

The cash back offer is:

  • 2% cash back bonus option for contracts 1 - 3 full days per week OR
  • 5% cash back bonus option for contracts 4 - 5 full days per week.

Remember, vouchers are still an available bonus option; we now offer the choice between the voucher bonus or cash back bonus. When registering your child's absent days in Zaycare, at least 30 days in advance, the app will offer you the cash back bonus or the voucher bonus. Cool, huh?

What is a contract day?

Contract days are the days of the week that your child regularly attends Teddy Kids, which is agreed upon once your contract starts.

For example, you may request full days for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These three days are considered your contract days and therefore every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the month are considered booked for your child.

What is a missed day?

A day marked absent is a day your child does not attend a booked contract day, for whatever reason, including illness, vacation, personal circumstances, etc. These are days you, the parent, will mark absent for your child in our Zaycare app.

What is an extra day?

At Teddy Kids, we’re flexible! (Have you heard?) If you would like to book extra days for your child, because they ❤ it here so much, check our Zaycare app to see which days have space available.

For example, if your contract states that your child attends every Monday, but next week you require that your child come on Monday, but also Wednesday and Thursday in addition, then you may book these two extra days. Of course that's if space is available and that the schedule change was requested at least 1 workday (24 Hours from 07:00, excluding weekends) in advance.

What is a voucher?

At Teddy Kids, we’re flexible! We understand that cancellations happen for all sorts of reasons. We therefore award vouchers if you cancel a contract day in time. The number of hours of that missed day may be applied to future days, which are outside of your contract.

For example, if your contract states that your child attends every Monday, but next week your circumstances require that your child come on Tuesday instead, then you may apply a voucher from the Monday to the Tuesday. A voucher may not be applied to a future Monday, however, since that day of the week is a regular contract day for your child.

Staring January 2020, for vouchers, only reserved hours will be counted and applied, not the price.

  • We will no longer display the value of the voucher in euros. It will simply state the amount of hours that can be applied when booking an extra day. For example:

One full day of childcare is booked for 11 hours.

If you mark you child absent a day on time, you receive a 100% voucher, or 11 hours.

If you mark the absence within 0 - 24 hours and before 7:00 that day, you receive a 25% voucher, or 2.75 hours.

  • This change is purely for ease of use within Zaycare; it’s still the same voucher bonus policy, only displayed a little differently.

Some basic rules about vouchers:

  • Using vouchers is only possible outside of your regular booked contract days. If your child is booked for every Monday of the month, for example, then you may not apply a voucher for a future Monday. Your child is already booked for every Monday.
  • Vouchers are valid for 30 days from the cancelled day AND NEW in 2020 vouchers may be used for days earlier in the same week so long as they are not contract days.
  • Vouchers from a cancelled Monday may not be used for a day in the week earlier; vouchers from a cancelled Monday may only be used after that Monday.
  • Booking extra days is only possible provided there is space available.
  • Booking extra days is only possible provided that the schedule change was requested at least 1 workday in advance (24 hours from 07:00, excluding weekends).
  • Booking extra days is only possible provided there are no outstanding invoices.
  • There is no extra charge from Teddy Kids to book extra days.

How do vouchers work?

One full day of childcare is booked for 11 hours.

If you mark you child absent a day on time, you receive a 100% voucher, or 11 hours.

If you mark the absence within 0 - 24 hours and before 7:00 that day, you receive a 25% voucher, or 2.75 hours.

You can use a voucher to book extra days in previous days of that same week or in the future, within 30 days of the missed days.

Then, at the end of the month you have a usage total comprising these hours:

What bonus is available to me if my child has a contract for 5 days a week?

If your child attends Teddy Kids childcare full time, then the voucher bonus option for extra days is unfortunately not available for you. BUT NEW in 2020 we offer you the cash back bonus option.

The cash back bonus option applies only to Vacation or Not Coming status planned at least 30 days in advance.

  • 2% cash back bonus option for contracts 1 - 3 full days per week
  • 5% cash back bonus option for contracts 4 - 5 full days per week

Vouchers are still an available bonus option; we offer the choice between the voucher bonus or cash back bonus. When registering your child's absent days in Zaycare, at least 30 days in advance, the app will offer you the cash back bonus or the voucher bonus. Cool, huh?

Finally, don’t forget to take advantage of the Dutch government subsidy, kinderopvangtoeslag, which may provide significant benefits to your family. If both parents work or study in the Netherlands, then 99% of the time you are eligible for childcare subsidies. What other rules apply to missed days, extra days and vouchers?

  • The responsibility to make schedule changes in the Zaycare app lies solely with the parent; we do not take responsibility for information being updated late. WhatsApp, SMS, text, and email are not acceptable forms of notification for absent days or booking extra days.
  • Absent days cannot be financially compensated nor exchanged with already booked contract days. For example, if Monday is a contract day, then a voucher may not be used for a future Monday; if Tuesday is a contract day, then a voucher may not be used for a future Tuesday, etc.
  • Contracted flexible days, half days (07:30-13:00 // 13:00-18:30), or any other type of days cannot be extended with vouchers nor will vouchers be awarded for shortened contract days.
  • Days booked "Extra" are final; vouchers for extra days are forfeited if cancelled.
  • Extra days are always based on our standard times and standard pricing.
  • Vouchers for 100% of the value of a missed contract day (expressed in hours) are awarded only if the schedule change was requested in Zaycare at least 24 hours from 07:00 in advance, excluding weekends).
  • Vouchers for 25% of the value of a missed contract day (expressed in hours) are awarded only if the schedule change was requested in Zaycare within 0 - 24 hours and before 7:00 of the contract day (excluding weekends).
  • No voucher is awarded for marking the day absent on the contract day after 7:00.
  • Vouchers can be used when booking extra days that are previous days in the same week of the missed day OR in the future, valid for 30 days after the cancelled contract day.
  • Vouchers from a cancelled Monday may not be used for a day in the week earlier; vouchers from a cancelled Monday may only be used after that Monday.
  • Booking extra days is only possible provided there is space available.
  • The cash back bonus option applies only to Vacation or Not Coming status planned at least 30 days in advance.
    • i) 2% cash back bonus option for contracts 1 - 3 full days per week
    • ii) 5% cash back bonus option for contracts 4 - 5 full days per week
  • Booking extra days is only possible provided there are no outstanding payments.
    • i) The bonus options are disabled if a monthly payment remains outstanding.
    • ii) After a 45-day late period, we reserve the right to cancel the privilege of the cash back bonus and/or the voucher bonus completely.
    • iii) Paying the outstanding amount in full re-activates the privilege of the cash back bonus and/or voucher bonus as of the date of payment.
    • iv) The choice you make for cash back bonus or voucher bonus is final and cannot be changed at a later date.
  • The voucher system and the cash back system are a bonus on top of our regular service; we reserve the right to change the rules at any time.
  • If you change more than 25% of your fixed schedule in a particular month, we reserve the right to switch you to our flex tariff; be advised this may lead to higher costs.
